Forestry

Forest Technologists

DWB Prince George Operations is currently seeking applications for forest technologists.  The successful candidate must have a strong background in the layout of block boundary and roads for timber harvesting operations.  Experience with cable systems is an asset.  The successful candidate must be registered with the Association of BC Forest Professionals.    Duties include:

 

  • Field Layout of cutblocks and roads
  • Site Plan Data Collection, Riparian Assessment
  • Field Crew supervision
  • Other related field duties
  • Office Reporting

 

Forest Technicians

Preference will be given to candidates with timber cruising experience and having completed a recognized forestry diploma program.  Duties include:

 

  • Timber Cruising
  • Site Plan Data Collection
  • GPS Traversing of Block Boundary and Roads
  • Boundary Marking
  • Other related field duties

Engineering

Civil Engineer

DWB’s Prince George Office is currently seeking applications for a Civil Engineer registered or eligible for registration with APEGBC.  The successful candidate will have a combination of training and experience in the design of bridges and other civil/structural works.  Field experience in construction supervision and project management is also required.

Civil Engineering Technologist/Draftsperson

DWB Prince George Operations is currently seeking applications for a Civil Engineering Technologist/Draftsperson.  The successful candidate will have a combination of training and experience in the design of roads, culverts and bridges utilizing AutoCad and three dimensional design software.  Field experience in site surveying and construction supervision is also required as fieldwork will occur occasionally.  Membership with ASTTBC is an asset.
