DWB Consulting Services Ltd (DWB) is a dynamic, multidisciplinary consulting firm that specializes in offering a full suite of value-added environmental, engineering and forestry services to our clients in Western Canada. Since 1990, DWB has grown from a small family run business to a multi-faceted company with over 200 staff in offices throughout British Columbia. Our core offices are located in Prince George, Fort St. John, Williams Lake, Chetwynd, Burns Lake and Cranbrook, with field offices throughout the province. DWB remains a 100% employee-owned and operated company.

DWB has established a strong reputation for our ability to develop cost effective solutions to complex environmental, engineering and forestry challenges. Our internal structure focuses on a team environment, with a diverse staff that includes Professional Engineers (PEng), Professional Biologists (RPBio and PBiol), Professional Agrologists (PAg), Forest Professionals (RPF, RFT), and Professionals in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC).

We also have a full complementary staff of technologists, technicians and specialists in a variety of disciplines (AScT, RBTech). As such, any project which we accept is considered within the context of our multi-disciplinary team. This approach ensures that solutions are practical, environmentally sound, operationally feasible and economical.

OUR HISTORY

DWB Consulting Services Ltd. was named after our founder and president, Dave W. Bedford (“DWB”), as a forestry consulting firm in 1990. Our values are were founded on, and continue to be centered around, the four primary tenants of integrity, service, generosity and community. Corporate culture symbolizes the unique personality of DWB and expresses the core values, ethics, behaviours, and beliefs that we hold. Our corporate culture and values are a vital reason of DWB’s past success and integral to our future success as a company. The culture is the ‘secret sauce’ that makes DWB the prosperous company it is today.

DWB’s corporate vision for quality and associated policies and procedures to achieve this are included within our Corporate Quality Management Plan (CQMP) as part of a Corporate Quality Program (CQP).

Locations

Williams Lake is our head office. We have five other main offices including Prince George, Fort St John, Chetwynd, Burns Lake, Penticton and Cranbrook, as well as a number of smaller field offices throughout British Columbia. DWB’s offices are interconnected and employees regularly work collaboratively on projects, sharing experience and expertise.
