Forestry Summer Students- 2026

Description
We are seeking applications from students for the upcoming 2026 field season in Forest Technology based out of our Prince George, Williams Lake, Burns Lake, Chetwynd, Chilliwack, North Vancouver, Sechelt and Squamish offices. This is a great opportunity for students who are currently enrolled in or newly graduated from a forestry or related post-secondary program and looking to gain hands on experience. The ideal Candidate will work closely with our team of professional Foresters.
Term: The available terms are:
- Four Months Term: May to August 2026
- Eight Months Term: May to December 2026
Duties
Our students will assist in the following activities:
- Timber cruising;
- Road and boundary layout;
- Road and boundary traversing;
- Ecological data collection;
- Riparian classification;
- Pre-harvest cut block reconnaissance.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Currently enrolled in or recent graduate from a forestry related post-secondary program;
- Previous forestry or related co-op work terms is an asset but not required;
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with Resource Road experience will be an asset;
- No experience required;
- Familiarity with timber cruising and related forest survey techniques is an asset.

- Ability to work in challenging outdoor environments and remote locations.
