Kintera- (DWB/CRGL) is a newly merged consulting firm specializing in environmental, engineering, forestry and GIS services and solutions. With a close-knit team, a diverse client base, and a strong reputation for quality and service, the company operates offices throughout all of British Columbia.
We are seeking a full-time Junior GIS Developer who is excited about building web mapping solutions to join our Application Services team focused on developing web mapping solutions for clients in the Utilities and Natural Resource sectors.
In this role, you will work with a diverse team to develop and maintain web mapping systems, leveraging your GIS and software development skills to deliver innovative solutions. This position is based out of our North Vancouver, BC office.

Compensation: The hourly range is between $30-$35 ($62,400 - $72,800 annually) and will be commensurate with experience.
Duties
The responsibilities of a Junior GIS Developer will include, but not limited to:
- Creating, testing and reviewing ArcGIS Online maps and apps
- Publishing and maintaining ArcGIS Server web services
- Using Python, SQL, or other scripting language to develop tools and perform tasks
- Spatial data management
- Managing incoming field collected data from clients and staff
- Converting, importing, managing, and manipulating data from a variety of sources
- Performing QA/QC tasks to ensure GIS data integrity
- Troubleshooting issues related to GIS and web-based mapping systems.
Qualifications
- A minimum of one (1) year of GIS experience working on web-mapping projects
- Experience developing tools on the Esri or QGIS platforms
- Relational database experience, especially with PostgreSQL/PostGIS, will be considered an asset
- Experience programming and scripting using Python, SQL, JavaScript, or Arcade
- Excellent data management and cartographic skills
- Strong reasoning and troubleshooting abilities with attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with attention to customer service
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.

Education
- Formal education in GIS with a background in Geography, Computer Science, or other relevant area.
- Experience developing tools on the Esri or QGIS platforms
- Experience programming and scripting using Python, SQL, JavaScript, or Arcade
- Excellent data management and cartographic skills
