Junior/Intermediate Environmental Technicians & Professionals – Prince George and Fort St. John, BC

DWB is seeking applications for Junior to Intermediate Environmental Technicians & Professionals proficient in scientific report writing and previous monitoring experience to fill positions in our Prince George and Fort St. John offices.

Successful candidates will have a minimum of 1-3 years (Junior) 4-6 years (intermediate) working in forestry, mining, oil and gas, and/or transportation industries with a current professional status in good standing or experienced technologists and must be able to thrive in demanding, fast-paced progressive work environments. Current experiences should include, but are not limited to;

  • Environmental Monitoring for Construction Projects
  • Water quality monitoring
  • Erosion and Sediment Control (ESC) Plans
  • Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMP)
  • Proficient identification of fish/wildlife/vegetation
  • Environmental Protection Plans (EPPs).
  • Understanding of environmental policy and regulations
  • Scientific report Writing
  • Liaising with clients.

In addition, the candidate should have strong organization skills, and effective relationship building skills with ability to work longer hours in a physically demanding environment.

Forestry Field Positions – Burns Lake

DWB is seeking applications for forestry field positions based out of our Burns Lake office. Candidates must be experienced with timber cruising, cutblock boundary layout and road layout. A diploma or degree in forestry (or related field) is preferred but not mandatory. Equivalent knowledge and experience will be considered.

The position is full time and is available immediately. Salary to commensurate with experience and industry standards. A benefits package is also available.

Forestry Positions - Prince George

DWB is seeking applications for Forestry workers based out of our Prince George Office.  Preference will be given to applicants with a demonstrated interest in Forestry.  The ideal candidate(s) will have some previous forestry experience in the areas of: cut block layout (roads or boundary), GPS traversing, Timber Cruising, or Ecological data collection and will be physically fit, and eager to learn.  The successful candidate(s) will be expected to stay in DWB field camps (5 or 10 day shifts) and will be required to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions. 

This position is available from September to December with the possibility of extending into the winter. Salary is commensurate with experience and industry standards.  DWB provides incentives for employees including annual bonus, professional development, and other company sponsored events.

Forest Professionals - RFTs/RPFs (Prince George)

DWB is seeking applications for Forest Professionals with Timber Cruising specialization for our Prince George operations. The successful candidate will be registered with ABCFP and have a valid class 5 BC driver’s license and 2-5 years’ experience preferred.   Equivalent experience will be considered.  The ideal candidate will have a combination of training and field experience in forest development activities including the development of cruise plans, operational timber cruising, quality control, data summary, the development of final cruise maps, and the compilation of cruise data and deliverables. This position generally encompasses both field (majority) and office duties. Work in camps settings is anticipated. The successful candidate may be expected to operate company vehicles and will be expected to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
