Forestry Project Manager- Terrace, BC

Description
We are looking for an outstanding individual to join our team of Resource Professionals. We are looking for a full-time Forestry Project Manager who is motivated, positive, and dependable. The position will be based out of Terrace, BC.
Duties
The Project Manager will be part of the Capital Projects team, and will participate in the North Coast transmission Line (NCTL) project. The project Manager will take on the Responsibility of the Coordinating Member and/or Layout Manager for a portion of the NCTL and will be working directly with the NCTL Forestry Execution team. This is an exciting opportunity to support the expansion of the CRGL/DWB office in Terrace. The Immediate responsibilities of the Project Manager will include:
- Managing the planning and implementation of the NCTL project layout and construction phases.
- Preparation, submission and acquisition of all clearing and access permits (such as OLTC, RUP, MoTI) and agreements (such as pipeline crossings, private road use etc.) and collaboration with the BC Hydro Properties team.
- Support to BC Hydro Properties for the acquisition of all private property permissions to enter (PTE), clearing agreements and access agreements.
- Collaborating with team members on scheduling and resource deployment.
- Ongoing support throughout the construction phases of the project.
- Coordinating with Project Leads, Forestry and Access Inspection team, and supporting staff.
- Support post construction site reclamation program and forestry wrap-up initiatives.
The Project Manager will be involved with the NCTL for the duration of the project. Following the completion of NCTL, the successful candidate will have opportunities to support the Capital Projects team as a Project Manager, servicing other BC Hydro projects, or other Clients.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 to 7 years of project management experience in the forestry sector
- RPF or RFT designation is a must
- Abilities to excel in leadership and experience managing a team
- Strong Professional communication skills
- Valid Class 5 British Columbia Driving License; experience driving 4x4 trucks and ATVs
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors; willing to work in diverse and demanding conditions
