DWB/CRGL is a newly merged consulting firm specializing in environmental, engineering, forestry and GIS services and solutions. With a close-knit team, a diverse client base, and a strong reputation for quality and service, the company operates offices throughout all of British Columbia.

We are looking for full-time Forestry Field Technicians who are motivated, positive, and dependable to join our team of Resource Professionals. to join our team of Resource Professionals working for the Capital Projects Department. Our mission is to provide the highest caliber of service to meet the needs of our clients, and we are only as good as the people on our team. We are looking for team players who are motivated, positive, and dependable.

The positions will be based out of Burns Lake, Smithers, or Terrace. We can also consider applications from North Vancouver, Chilliwack, or Squamish.

Work Type: Applicants should expect mainly field-based duties with some office work.

Compensation:

The pay range for this position is $24- $28 per hour; pay will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Duties

The responsibilities for this position will include, but are not limited to:

  • Collecting Field data
  • Preparing written summaries and assessments
  • Contributing to the team on a wide range of projects duties
  • Planning and working with clients to achieve their objectives
  • Participating in natural resource management activities across British Columbia, with travel throughout the province required.

Qualifications

  • Resource field experience is an asset but not required
  • Registered or eligible for registration with FPBC is an asset but not mandatory
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, and Apple IOS
  • Physically fit and able to work outdoors; willing to work in diverse and demanding weather conditions
  • Strong commitment to safe work practices
  • Valid Class 5 British Columbia Driving License; experience driving 4x4 trucks and ATVs is an asset
