Duties
Fieldwork and Data Collection:
- Assisting with timber cruising
- Assisting with road and boundary layout
- Road and boundary traversing
- Assisting with Ecological data collection
- Assisting with riparian classification
- Assisting with pre-harvest cut block reconnaissance
Qualifications
Education:
- Current enrollment or a recent graduate in a Diploma or degree in Natural Resource Management with a focus on forestry or a related field.
Experience:
- No experience required.
- Familiarity with timber cruising and related forest survey techniques is an asset.
Skills:
- Attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work in challenging outdoor environments and remote locations.
Additional Skills and Assets:
- Knowledge of provincial and federal forestry and environmental regulations.
- Eligibility to enroll with Forest Professionals BC is an asset.
